How it works

Capture the moment at any of our destinations and share it with #UrbanPixelsDXB to win. The competition is open to everyone. Winning entries will be chosen based on how they reflect the vibrancy of life in one of the most modern and cosmopolitan cities on Earth—specifically at any Meraas destination—including our newest two additions, La Mer and Al Seef. Winners will receive exciting prizes and have their images exhibited at La Mer, where they’ll be seen by thousands of people across the city.

There are 3 themes to follow when taking photographs including:

• Year of Zayed

• Street Food and Dining

• Happiness

Award Categories

There will be three prizes awarded per theme and one headline award for People’s Choice Award based on most likes across Facebook and Instagram.

Images will be judged by a panel of experts based on how they capture the stories brought to life by our destinations. Ten winners will be announced on 13 May, 2018, with a selection of the best entries featured in an exhibition.

For the photography enthusiast, this is the perfect way to engage your senses. There will be a host of leading photography experts giving Talks and Workshops, as well as communal Walks for camera enthusiasts taking pictures around the destinations which are organised by CAPTURE LLC; all of which will be open to the public at some of Meraas’s leading destinations.
